Sicily keeps surprising us.
Hidden caves, secret elevators inside mountains, narrow harbours, wild storms, and quiet anchorages that feel like paradise.

This island has everything — adventure, history, character, and beauty in every direction.
Here’s a little glimpse from our latest explorations before the storm caught up with us again.

Not every day at sea is about storms, sailing, or catching fish.
Some days it’s just about the kids laughing on deck, discovering tiny secrets in caves,
or sharing a quiet moment together at sunset.

These little snapshots remind us why we chose this life.
Why we keep exploring.
Why sailing with kids feels a bit like magic — even on the messy days.

Seline started with one, then two Fugglers. But as the day went by, she just got obsessed with them, and got a hole lot more. The next day, she tries to explain why...🤪

Viktoria relaxing down in the saloon, Seline curled up under her blanket on deck, lights glowing softly under the boom… and the distant music drifting across the water from the beach 🎶🌙

These are the quiet moments that make sailing with kids feel just a little bit unreal.
A floating home, warm Mediterranean nights, and two sisters slowly falling asleep under the stars.

When I woke up this morning....
Sleeping under the open sky with Seline, and waking up to this view is just total magic😍☀️

When Your Daughter Finds a Palm Tree…
Seline found a giant palm tree… and of course she had to climb it!
Evening light, warm winds, and that pure joy kids get when the world becomes their playground. Moments like these are why we love this sailing life. 🌴💛

From racing out on deck because we thought something exploded…
to swimming in crystal clear water at sunset, and exploring tiny caves with elevators inside.

Boat life is funny like that.
One moment the wind is howling behind you, and the next moment you’re floating in total peace with your family.

Here are a few snapshots from one wild, beautiful day sailing around Sicily ✨⛵
Would you choose the chaos or the calm? 😅

We were just exploring a cave on Sicily’s north coast when we stumbled across something totally unexpected…
a tiny elevator hidden inside the rock! 🤯⛰️

So of course, the whole family squeezed inside — and the surprise got even bigger when the doors opened into a hotel lobby.
Only in Sicily do you walk into a cave and end up inside a hotel.
Boat life keeps the adventures coming!

There’s something special about slipping into the water right as the sun melts into the horizon. The water was crystal clear, the sky glowing orange, and the world felt completely still.
No underwater footage this time — just the calm, simple beauty of a quiet spearfishing moment while Seline watched from the boat.

We didn’t catch any fish today… but sometimes the best moments out here aren’t about the results.
They’re about being present, breathing with the ocean, and sharing these small slices of magic together. 💙🌅

Living on a sailboat means you never know what the night will bring! Tonight we were suddenly woken by loud explosions outside the boat… so the whole family rushed out on deck to see what was going on.
And instead of danger, we got a private firework show lighting up the anchorage! 🎆⛵✨
This is boat life at its best — unpredictable, exciting, and full of small surprises that make the journey unforgettable.

Grotta Mangiapane is one of the most extraordinary places we’ve ever visited. Hidden inside a massive crack in the mountains of Sicily, this tiny cave village feels completely frozen in time.
From old workshops and oil presses to stables, tools, and tiny stone houses — everything is preserved exactly as it was 100 years ago.
A true hidden gem on the north coast of Sicily. 🇮🇹✨

When we arrieved the anchorage finally revealed itself.
Packed. Overflowing.
Not a single patch of water without a boat somewhere.

Every yacht, every charter boat, every inflatable dinghy…
It felt like the entire island had come out for the evening.

And there we were… trying to just find one quiet spot to drop the hook.

But hey — if you ever wonder where the whole of Sicily goes on a sunny day…

And we thought we where entering a peaceful anchoring place.
